Photo Moments: Holy Week

I decided to make “Photo Moments” a weekly blog post, wherein I will highlight some photos collected in a week. Armed with my mobile phone, four shots will be posted here that include an object, a food, a person or a group of people, and any random picture from my media file.

Real Friends Who Live Nearby Are Awesome

One of the greatest moves my parents did for me was sending me to, then, the only local private school here in our village. I could have been schooled somewhere outside, somewhere “bigger”, meaning a school with higher buildings, newer facilities, more subjects and extra-curricular activities offered, a gym, a locker, and probably a swimming pool. I would have liked it, but I realized that I am actually grateful that my parents thought it was better for me to study where they can reach me anytime, at least during those times when I thought wearing butterfly clips was the coolest.

Studying near our place, one jeep or tricycle away, meant that most of my classmates were residents of Villamor. It’s great when you guys need to meet for projects or if you want to invite them over for your 7th birthday. They are always accessible. And the best part was being with people who later became more than just my classmates who live nearby. More than sixteen years have passed and I still invite them over for my birthday. His and Her

In every barkada, there will always be someone like HER:

Part 1: The Category Game

The Category: Ulam na may sarsa

Jessa: Tinola!

Everyone: Hindi. Mali yun!

Jessa: Ay, ano ba ‘pag sarsa?

Everyone: Yung malapot yung consistency ng sabaw ng ulam.

Jessa: Ah.. Dapat pala Arroz Caldo sinagot ko.

*seryoso siya. swear!

Part 2: Pinoy Henyo

The Word: Blanket

Jessa: Asa kama?

Drew: Oo!

Jessa: Bed sheet? Bed cover? Bed? Cover? Pillow sheet? Head board? Sheet?

Drew: Hindi! Hindi! Hindi! Hindi!

Jessa: Kumot?

Drew: Oo! Pwede! Go! Go!

Jessa: Ay.. ay.. Ano English ng kumot?… Uhmm… Placemat!

*bakeeeeet?

And I think we just all died. HAHAHAHA

In every barkada, there will always be someone like HER. You mock her, tease her, laugh at her and even say nasty stuff in her face, but she just takes it all in and laugh it out; but you gotta admit,  your group will never be complete without HER. :)

And oh… these all happened during HIS birthday. Happy Birthday Drew! :)

Let’s Draw Something

My latest addiction.

Image from the Internet

Draw Something is basically a sketch game on touchscreen.

The Game.

It’s really simple. You choose a word from the given items, sketch it and wait for your game mate to guess what it is. Then you switch roles. The items range from simple words like “star” to the more challenging words like “Lady Gaga”. The more difficult the word is, the more coins you get.

23 and Counting :)

Since this site went into hiatus, I missed my birthday post, which is an annual blog thing for me. Oh well, it’s still my birthday month, and as the cliché goes, “better late than never”.

For this year, instead of the usual what-I-did-and-who-were-there post, I decided to make a list instead, with 23 items in it (well because it’s my 23rd birthday :P ).

Here are 23 things that made my birthday special (in random order). Continue reading
